Yoga can help with anxiety, stress, pain management, injury rehabilitation, function & mobility issues, as well as relaxation and restoration. With a background collaborating and working with physiotherapists as well as training in yoga for pain management, I am able to help with a wide range of issues. These classes are suitable for all abilities.
STRETCH & RELAX
Yoga is a wonderful tool to help relax and calm your body and mind. Stretch and relaxation classes are a great way to calm the nervous system and relax stiff or tired bodies.
Yoga can help with short or long-term injuries and well as post-surgery. It is very important to keep moving when you have an injury to keep the body healthy and mobile. From working with physiotherapists and their patients for many years I have experience helping with all kinds of injuries including muscle spasms, slipped/herniated/ruptured discs, back and neck pain, pain from poor posture, post-surgery rehab, and sports injuries. I am very happy to speak to your doctor or physio to understand what you need to work on and to strengthen or stretch your body in the most ideal way.
Yoga can help with pain management, including chronic/persistent pain, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue. These classes go at your own pace and teach you to practice yoga in a non-painful way. Classes may focus on gentle yoga poses, mindfulness, breath work and meditation techniques. I have trained with Yoga for Pain Care Australia and have lots of experience working with students with pain, fatigue, and injuries.
